57 photographers from 45 communities of Russia spanning the territory from Moscow and St.Petersburg to Birobijan and Vladikavkaz, Ufa and Derbent… participated in the contest. Among them were both seasoned professionals, prize-winners of Russian and international contests, and beginners in the field of photography.

More than 800 photographs were submitted for consideration of experts group and jury. Each photograph was interesting in its own way reflecting the development of Jewish life in Russia during recent years.   They convincingly narrate life histories of people, Jewish communities and organizations; tell us about national education, culture and charity.
